A Prayer for Peace
Loving God,
We pray for peace in our hearts, our school, and our world.
Help us to listen with kindness and act with courage.
May we build understanding across all differences.
Guide us to be peacemakers each day.
Amen.
A Note from our Principal
Ngata families,
Welcome back to Term 4! I hope everyone enjoyed a restful and refreshing break and is ready to take on the busyness and excitement that always comes with the final term of the year.
This week has already been a special one, with our Grade 1/2 students enjoying their sensational excursion to Werribee Zoo. From all reports, they’ve had a wonderful time exploring the exhibits, learning about wildlife and sharing the adventure with their classmates. We wish them safe travels as they return home today and thank the staff who have made this experience possible.
Tomorrow promises to be a big and exciting day at school! We are looking forward to welcoming close to 200 grandparents and special visitors for Grandparents Day from 12.30 - 1.30pm, followed by a light lunch for them in the Function Room. A huge thank you to Mrs Dowling and our Parents and Friends team for their organisation and support in making this wonderful community event possible. This celebration is part of our Term 4 Pastoral Care Day, highlighting the strong community connections that make our school so special.
It’s also Walk Safely to School Day, with our Walking School Buses operating around the neighbourhood. What a great way to start the day with fresh air, exercise and friendship!
Wishing everyone a great start to Term 4 and a positive, productive term ahead.
Kind regards,
Nick Murrell
Principal
Walking School Bus Tomorrow!
Tomorrow, Friday October 10th, as part of our healthy moves initiative, students are invited to take part in the school wide walking school bus program! Students are invited to meet staff and other students at one of the below meeting points by 8:10am and walk together to school!
Parents and friends are more than welcome to join in!

Grandparents Day Tomorrow!
We are looking forward to welcoming our wonderful grandparents and special friends to St Pius X tomorrow for the St Pius X Grandparents and Special Friends Day.
The celebration will begin at 12:30pm, where visitors are invited to join students in their classrooms and enjoy some time together seeing their learning in action.
At 1:30pm, grandparents and special friends are warmly invited to make their way to the Function Room for a light luncheon as a token of our appreciation for their time and support.
Please note:
Students will remain in their classrooms for their regular lunch break and will not attend the luncheon. Families are reminded that students will need to bring their own lunch for the day.
We look forward to a beautiful afternoon celebrating the special relationships that enrich our school community.

Welcome Back!
We would like to welcome everyone back for Term 4. Sounds crazy saying that and thinking that we are nearly at the end of another year. It sounds like everyone had a great holiday break and are ready to tackle the busiest term of them all. We have been talking about how this term is the ‘getting ready for Grade 1’ term where transition visits will take place and new classes will be formed. We also have talked about how it is a very special term as it is our last term that we will all be able to learn and play together as one year level. We have so many amazing things planned for this term so stay tuned!

No hat, no play!
As you will be all aware, hats are required to be worn for Term 4. As of next Monday, the ‘no hat, no play’ policy will come into action. Therefore, we ask everyone to have their school hat at school by Monday to ensure that we can all play in our favourite places. Can we please make sure that all hats have names on them so that if they are lost or left outside then they can make their way back to their owner. If you need a new school hat then please see Karen or Bec in the Office and they will help you out.
School Fees
Dear Families,
It has been noted that there are still a large amount of school fees that haven't been paid or had a payment plan set up. Just a reminder that it is an expectation that all fees will be paid in full by the end of the year unless a payment plan is set up and ongoing. Please call Bec Lawlor if you have any questions or have any concerns over being able to meet your financial obligations. Bec is more than happy to help with different options that will work for your families needs.

2026 Enrolments
Do you know someone looking for a great school in 2026? Word of mouth is the best way to let people know about our wonderful school. Please encourage anyone who might be interested to contact the school for a private tour.

REMINDER: Parent/Guardian/Carers Code of Conduct to be signed ASAP
As a DOBCEL school, we are required to have all Parents/Guardians/Carers sign a Code of Conduct as part of the Enrolment Agreement. This Code of Conduct is a guide to the expected conduct and behaviour of all Parents/Guardians/Carers while in all school environments, engaging in school-related activities or representing the school. This document has been written in the context of new enrolments, but is to be utilised for all current enrolments as well.
A copy of this document was sent out electronically through PAM to all Parents/Guardians/Carers. Please take the time to read and acknowledge your acceptance of the terms and conditions listed.
Thank you to those who have already signed their Codes of Conduct. It is an important part of our school's Compliance regulations that this document is read and signed by all Parents/Carers. It would be appreciated if this could be attended to as soon as possible. Please contact the office if you are unable to access the document in PAM. Thank you for your assistance.
